Our Team

First, I would like to introduce myself and my dental practice. My name is Patricia New, and my team includes Kim (our Financial Coordinator), Paul (our Business Assistant), Sarah (our Schedule Coordinator), Cindy and Sharae (our hygienists), Tiffany and Sarah (our expanded duties dental assistants) and Macy (our favorite part-time expanded duties dental assistant). Commitment Comes First

We are committed not only to your teeth, but the overall total health of our patients. Each member of our team is trained in CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation), BLS (Basic Life Support), and the use of our on-site AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Universal precautions are always followed, of course, and we equip our office with up-to-date technology including digital X-rays.

	Cindy - Hygienist Our hygienist Cindy has over 31 years of experience in the dental field. She was an expanded duties dental assistant for many years before attending the dental hygiene program at Indiana University School of Dentistry. She graduated from the dental hygiene program in 1990, and has been a part of our team since 2005. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her patients. We appreciate her gentleness and patience with our children and anxious patients! She has a daughter Ava, who is 6 years old. Cindy works on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
	Sharae - Hygienist Our hygienist Sharae moved to Indianapolis in 2004 to study dental hygiene at the IU School of Dentistry. She has a degree in Health Administration through the IUPUI School of Public and Environmental Affairs. She has been practicing dental hygiene since 2008. Sharae recently continued her dental education and holds her permit in local anesthesia as well. She has been part of the team at A New Smile since September 2009. She has a keen attention to detail and patients appreciate her thoroughness and gentle touch. Sharae grew up west of Indianapolis in a little town called Reelsville, Indiana. She enjoys being near the city but will always hang on to her country roots. She enjoys spending time with family and friends no matter what the occasion. Sharae works on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
	Sarah - Expanded Duties Dental Assistant Sarah graduated from an expanded duties dental program in 2010, and has been in the dental field since 2009. She joined our practice in 2011. Sarah enjoys working with children and has a natural eye for detail. Sarah grew up on the south side of Indianapolis. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and loves to make everyone laugh. She loves art and any outdoor activities. Sarah enjoys learning new things and will try anything at least once! She recently started participating in mud races around Indiana and would like to start traveling to more races.
	Macy - Expanded Duties Dental Assistant Macy is our part-time expanded-duties dental assistant. She has 29 years experience in dentistry working in Spencer, Indiana. She has worked part-time for us since 2007. We love her because she does not know a stranger. We like to say when Macy is in the office, you know it! She loves working with children. She has been married for 31 years and has 2 sons, 3 beautiful granddaughters and 3 dogs. She has a love for God, her family, racing sprint cars and taking care of people's smiles.
	Tiffany - Expanded Duties Dental Assistant Tiffany is our expanded duties dental assistant. She graduated from an expanded duties dental program in 2000. She joined us in 2010. Her perfectionism and attention to detail result in beautiful, natural-looking restorations for our patients. She is also the office party planner! Tiffany has lived on the south side of Indianapolis for most of her life. She enjoys spending time with her husband, step-daughter, family and friends. She loves animals and warm-weather outdoor activities, such as boating and scuba-diving.
	Kim - Financial Coordinator Kim, our Financial Coordinator, had her start in the dental field in high school; she knew this was an area she could help change patient care. She has worked full-time in dentistry for the past 5 years, and joined our team in 2010. She will handle any of your financial, insurance and account needs. She is the numbers person of the office - she always strives to be sure that everything is accurate. She also loves to go the extra mile for her patients, and they inspire her to meet any challenges necessary. Whether it be disputing a claim for a patient or getting a control number for a service member, she works to ensure that every patient is happy from start to finish. She is known in the office as being the office mom; she has a heart of gold and wants to take care of the whole team! Kim grew up in a rural community of Union City, Indiana, and now lives on the Southside of Indianapolis. She and her husband Jeremy have been married for 16 years and they have 2 daughters. They recently added a new member to their family, Bella, a spunky bischon. She also has a labradoodle named Jasper. In her spare time Kim enjoys going to concerts, having cookouts with her neighbors or taking pictures. She also enjoys baking and sending care packages to our troops overseas. She is an active member of her church and tries to volunteer as much as possible in her free time.
	Sarah - Schedule Coordinator Sarah, our Schedule Coordinator, had her start in the dental field in high school; she has been working in dentistry for the past 10 years. Sarah has been with us since February 2011. She ensures that all of your scheduling needs are met; she will go that extra mile to confirm your appointments and to accommodate your schedule. She is known for making the impossible happen for our patients, which is her ultimate goal. She brings a lot of character to our office and we love having her as a part of the team! Sarah has a handsome young son named Logan, he is her pride and joy and her best friend. We can�t forget her other loves - Avah her English bulldog and Princess Nyiah, her white Persian cat. Sarah spends a lot of her time with family and friends. She is very into style and is always up with the new fashion. When she is not working she�s wining and dining with friends or spending time with family and enjoying their company.
	Paul - Business Assistant Paul, the newest member of the team, uses his experience in diverse but always customer-oriented fields to promote the office, help with paperwork, coordinate new methods of connecting with our patients and community and fill in wherever needed. His goal is to enable a perfectly efficient operation that prioritizes patient care and satisfaction. Paul grew up outside of Bloomington, IN and recently returned to Indiana after stays in Arizona, California and Florida. He now lives near downtown Indianapolis and enjoys movies, trying new restaurants and venues downtown and walks along the canal � at least when the weather is warmer!
